Remarks

As we come to the end of this TTC course, I want to take a moment to reflect on the important ideas we’ve explored and to offer some thoughts on where we go from here.
Throughout this course, we’ve examined a number of different approaches to language teaching, and we’ve seen how many of these approaches have limitations that prevent them from fully meeting the needs of our students. We’ve also explored some promising alternatives, including Stern’s three- dimensional framework, Allwright’s Exploratory Practice framework, and Kumaravadivelu’s macro- strategic framework.
But while these frameworks are valuable and represent important steps towards a postmethod pedagogy, they are just the beginning. In order to truly revolutionize language teaching, we need to go further.
